It is with deep regret that Satellites has to announce the sad passing on the 14th of May, after a long illness, of one of our longest serving parents in the club - Martin Bennett.
Martin was in the recent past both a valued committee member and a popular poolside team manager for Satellites, it was also with Martin's dedication as Swim 21 Officer that the club first achieved this accreditation in 2009. Martin will be remembered as the most loyal of parents who gave freely of his time to help the club and took quiet pride in the achievements of his daughter Katie and son Matthew.
It was Martin's idea to make Satellites an official fundraiser for The Christie Hospital earlier this year and it is a fitting tribute that so many took part and so much was raised.
On behalf of members past and present we pass on our deepest sympathy to all his family at this sad time.

ASA Hub Club (Cheshire East)
Satellites of Macclesfield are pleased to announce that they have been chosen as the Disability Swimming Hub Club for Cheshire East. The Hub Club programme is an ASA led initiative whose aim is to provide assessment opportunities for anyone with a disability who is interested in getting involved with swimming.
