Long Course Update

Long Course training will commence for Sundays 8.30-10.00pm from Sunday 12th Sept

There will not be a session on 19th September due to DEVA League - but it will return the week after on the 26th and continue until MAC advise us that the boom is fixed at Oxford Road.

Week commencing 6th September

Swimmers in National Squad(NS) and Competitive Squad 1(CS1) should aim to get to training by 6.45pm on either Monday OR Friday to go through the process of setting some personal goals for their season.

Swimmers in Competitive Squad 2(CS2) should aim to get to training by 6.15pm on Wednesday to do the same.

All goal setting sessions will take place in the downstairs poolside vending area. Thank you.

Please note Land Training will commence on the week of the 13th September.

Further information to follow.

Regular club training resumes Wednesday 1st September - including the first early morning session of the new season.

Early morning swimming routine for Wednesday and Friday sessions -

Leisure centre staff will arrive at 6.00 am followed by Satellite Coach. Swimmers to arrive no earlier than 6.15am by then all being well they may gain access to the changing rooms by the normal route i.e. the main building front doors.
However the changing room doors leading to poolside will remain locked until 6.30 am this will ensure safe control of access to the facility - session ends at 8.00am.

NB Swimmers will need to assist coach with lane ropes at the beginning of training - this is a new routine for all concerned so please be patient if there are teething problems in the early days. We fully understand some swimmers will have to leave in advance of the 8.00am end time but they must inform the coach at the beginning of the session.

Please keep checking in for updates and remember session times are slightly different to last year on some days.

DEVA reminder Sunday 19th Sept 2010

Please check the team sheet in the members area NOW for team details and further info on venue and times. Confirm if will you be available to swim via email link devateam@swimsatellite.co.uk or sign up sheet at the pool. Thank you Lisa/Steve

We have arranged for a coach for this Gala due to location and limitations of viewing - we would like as many swimmers as possible to use the coach on this occassion. These are team Galas and it builds team spirit to travel and arrive as a team. We will assume all team members will be travelling by the coach unless we are notified otherwise.

Times collection points and costs to be confirmed later this week. Thank you.

Squads Restructuring Update 27/08

Revised fee structure now available in the members area.

We are still looking to receive feedback in respect of the restructure in the 2010-2011 season. The changes are progressive and in line with ASA Swim21 guidance in respect of competitive development structures. However we are aware that the changes will impact individuals differently depending on their existing commitments - not all circumstances can be foreseen by those charged with devising the plans. We therefore ask that you bring any issues to our attention as soon as possible - this includes squads, training times and fees. No one should be placed at disadvantage in terms of their ability to continue on the athlete development pathway in this process, especially in respect of fees - but we can only respond if you get in touch. All contacts will of course be treated confidentially. Please email - headcoach@swimsatellite.co.uk or use links on the Contacts page as appropriate to secretary/treasurer/membership etc.

Thank you
