General information
A brief history of the club : Download
We train Mon,Wed,Fri evenings (7.30-9.30) Thurs evening (6.30 - 8.00) and Sat/Sun Mornings (8.00-10.00),
After the training sessions the coaching team will be more than willing to speak to any prospective new members/parents about the club and prospects for joining. Usually a trial will be required to evaluate suitability. |
Each swimmer will be at a different level so it is important that the swimmer is allocated to the correct group. Expert guidance will be given after the initial assessment. If you are already a competitive swimmer with another local club or have relocated into the area we would be happy to coinsider you for a place and arrange a trial. In this instance please send contact information and details of age /experience and recent PB times to the headcoach so that we can make an initial assessment of lane availability. A number of options exist that mean you can still be a member of your first club and in addition take on further training with Satellites. We already have a number of swimmers from the surrounding area who take up this option.
All general enquiries relating to swimming club /class payments or booking of sessions can be addressed in writing to the Club Secretary/Treasurer who will deal with matters arising on an individual basis. Due to pre booking requirement of the pool we are unable to offer refunds other than in exceptional circumstances and at the discrection of the Club Committee - as stated in the membership form signed at enrollment.
Unlike most of our main rivals, Satellites are totally self supporting. We get no financial assistance from the County Council and spend an enormous amount of money annually on pool hire (with no discount). Our main source of funds are training fees, teaching class fees, membership subscription and our annually run open swimming gala profits. Satellites is a not for profit organization - run by volunteers for the benefit of the community and to advance the promotion of competitive swimming in the Cheshire area.
Please note that no club officers receive discounts in respect of club membership or training fees and receive no payment for the work they undertake on behalf of the membership. If you are interested in helping out with the committee in any way please get in touch. |
Any feedback in respect of Satellite Swimming Club/Satellites Swimming lessons should be directed either via the Club Secretary
or if confidential via the club Welfare officer. Thank you.
