Event Report
Overall a brilliant final weekend of the season for these swimmers with Satellites coming home with a significant medal haul - in particular Adam Frost (8PB's) and Abi Ridden with 16 medals between them!.
Many swimmers used the meet as an opportunity to record times for the first time at longer distances and improve existing PB's; with Sammy Brocklehurst, Ben Heginbotham, Danielle Lomas, Daniella Parry and Abigail Ridden attempting their first or second events of 200m and Ben Arkle, Lizzie Harris and Abigail Ridden attempting their first ever races at 400m. While our younger swimmers Charlotte Brocklehurst and Lizzie Caunt used the meet to gain more experience at competitions.
With only 3 swimmers aged 10 and under on the second day, Satellites swimmers Ben Arkle, Lizzie Harris and Abi Ridden combined with Polly Holden from Nantwich to form a 4 x 25m Medley Relay Team, winning gold by beating a team from Salford by over a second!
