Classes are structured in line with the ASA (NPTS) National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Starting with Stages 1-7 and then additionally focused on competitive swimming in stages 8-10 in the main pool and moving into the main competitive club through additional hour classes run during the week. This accelerates progress in later Stages and introduces the swimmer to longer distance swimming putting the emphasis on improving technique along with learning to train consistently in a structured coaching session. Charges for coaching are significantly lower than teaching and paid monthly by standing order.

Classes run throughout the year in line with school terms : September-December, January- April, April - July NB No lessons during the month of August as the club is closed for the summer holidays. Please remember the Satellites club is run by volunteers and is a 'not for profit' organization. We have around 160 swimmers in regular lessons and we ask for your patience with paperwork and enrolment procedures. Those working on the desk are not qualified to answer specific questions related to an individual child's progress or class allocation. These issues can only be addressed by a teacher/coach. However we do recognize these questions are important and we will have a comments book where you can make notes and request further information from the swim class manager. Fees will be in line with a 10 or 12 week course - Additional child discount applies at 10%.
